Day in Castleton!!
Gracias chicos!!
Yesterday, we went on a trip with Sylvia, Sergio and Germán. We visited Castleton, a small village which is famous for its caverns. It was a pity that we could see only one of them: The Peak Cavern. But we have decided to come back and visit the rest of them, besides, one of them is visited with a small boat !!
It was a lovely sunny day, in fact it was long since we saw the sun!! it was 20 degrees, of course it wasn't as warm as in Zaragoza, but what else we could ask!!! We had fun, we enjoyed beautiful green scenaries, along with a wonderful weather, the countryside, the food, and above all your company!!! Thank you guys!!

Andreas's party

Yesterday night we went to Andreas' for a fantastic party. Barbecue was the first idea, but the weather was so cold, in fact it snows now and then, that he decided to keep on the plan but with a party. And what a party!! Nearly 50 people from brain and body centre and SPMMRC. Too much food, delicious all of it, as it is common in all Andreas' parties, good music and friendly people to chat with. We are already looking forward to a better weather so that the barbecue season begins.
Zaragoza in The Independent.
http://www.independent.co.uk/extras/sound-and-vision/?vid=795513Sometimes you asked me what Maria and I do in Zaragoza. Basically the following video shows everything. I live just 5 minutes walking from and between El Pilar, biggest church in the largest square (about 4 football fields), and the Aljaferia castle. Maria lives just opposite the river, another 5 minutes walking from
Expo2008 and 15 minutes from my house, so 20 minutes from the main square
We were walking around last sunday and took some photos of the little frogs.
When we go out every friday and saturday night a mandatory stop is el champi, the mushrooms place. But all the street is full of the same places for tapas, La migueria is
just opposite the mushrooms.

Weekend in Zaragoza!!

As good spaniards weekend is for tapas and going out with friends, and that's what we did. You can't imagine how much we miss this in Nottingham, such as Zaragoza has very good places for "tapeo". This weekend we tried el jamon con chorreras in Casa Juanico. This is a tapa made of ham, cheese and boiled egg coated in batter. We had fun and laugh more, and enjoy your friendship. Unfortunately it was too short, because one gets used to the good things quickly and then missed when they have gone. Thanks a lot!!
As usual, we say goodbye with some photos so that you can notice how cute we are.
We are going to Zaragoza!!
This evening at 7:30pm we arrived at Zaragoza for one week-off. We felt like to come here and see our family and friends. Although we always need more time, we will try to meet all of you.
The trip was a little bit too long because we flew to Madrid and then we took a bus to Zaragoza.
Finally, it was a 14-hour journey, but as always it was worthy. So that's all now we will enjoy your company, and also the weather and above all the food!!
Here are some photos of the trip.
Concert at Lee Rosy's Tea.

Amazing concert at Lee Rosy's Tea yesterday night. Aaron's group played along with supporting solos. Among the public: Rosa, Olivier, Ulas, Yongnan and girlfriend, Cesar and Maria, and some relatives of our Irish folk. His music is difficult but very sincere and highly sensitive. You can listen to them in http://www.myspace.com/phantomdog. Thanks Aaron and see you on 25th May in Lake Windermere.
Southwell and Newark.
Yesterday, Saturday, we went to Southwell and Newark for a short break with Sylvia and Sergio. Both villages are about 40 km from Nottingham and are very nice to have a good day, above all Southwell where we started our trip. First we visited the market and wandered around. We had lunch at The Saracen Hotel, (http://www.saracensheadhotel.net/), noteworthy food and decoration. When our bellies were full we continue our walk to The Cathedral of Southwell. We were welcome with the rehearsal for a classical music concert and chorus. Awesome!! the acustic of that place is amazing. Then we bent our steps towards Newark, but everything was nearly closed. We visited the gardens and remains of the castle beside river Trent. We must come back, because we were looking forward to visiting the market and surroundings but it wasn't to be.
