Fuerteventura: Sexto Día!!

Fuerteventura: Sixth Day!!

After visiting the southern part and the inland of the island, the north was the only thing left for visiting. Therefore, we went to visit it today. Close to Puerto del Rosario, which is the capital and main city of the island, the village of Corralejo is located. The hotel staff recommended us visiting it because there are some dunes of white sand close to the shore and from there you can see the mountains of the close island of Lanzarote, apart from another tiny island called Isla de Lobos, "Island of Wolves". The landscape with the dunes and some beaches in that area are nice, of course nothing compare to the south part of Jandia which is our most beloved area, but sincerely the village of Corralejo is not nice. The village is full of building in the English way, all the same and some pubs. To be honest, there is very few "charm" around there. We did not like it, but perhaps other people love it. Whereas Morro Jable, in Jandia, is full of Germans, Corralejo is nearly an English village and with great sadness :)) Germany wins the match to a great extent. We just visited Corralejo by car and quickly we went to El Cotillo, another picturesque fishing village although Cesar prefers the colours of Ajuy. We had lunch in an excellent restaurant in white and blue called La vaca azul, "the blue cow", which had a very friendly staff and an amazing balcony to the beach. It was wonderful!!! We recommend it very much. After lunch, we did a short walk around the village, the new harbour, and we went to the northest lighthouse of the island, which is very close to the village. As usual, we would like to show you some photos of this day.
